“All the music presented here as The Day It Rained Forever was improvised and recorded into a single room mic in one day – the 24th of November, 2025 – with another day set aside for editing, mixing, sequencing and minimal overdubbing. The rain sounds were recorded by holding a digital recorder out of the studio window and capturing the afternoon’s ferocious weather. It’s hoped that the combination of music and ambience gives the listener an impression of what it was like to be in the studio; drinking tea and smoking, staring out into the rain, stroking the cats and playing without a thought for anyone who might be listening.”
